Dr Wee Chee Keong is the founder of Capernaum Neurology with a special interest in acute stroke treatment. He obtained his MBBS in Singapore, and later became a member of the Royal College of Physicians in the UK in 2009. In 2013, Dr Wee completed his specialty training in neurology and received specialist accreditation in Neurology with the Ministry of Health. Later on, he pursued a year of fellowship training in Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital in Perth, Australia. Dr Wee was also Chief Medical Informatics Officer at the National Neuroscience Institute (NNI) at Singapore General Hospital and Changi General Hospital campuses, where he helped develop and refine treatment protocols of acute stroke patients.
A firm believer in patient education and awareness, Dr Wee co-chaired NNI’s inaugural Brain Awareness Carnival in 2017, an outreach programme which helped the community learn about prevention and treatment of neurological disorders. He was previously a faculty member of the neurology senior residency programme and an adjunct assistant professor with Duke-NUS medical school.
Outside of Singapore, Dr Wee has spoken at several neurology conventions around the world, including Sweden, United States and Indonesia, where he presented on special topics related to stroke.
Dr Wee currently practices at Capernaum Neurology where he treats stroke, dementia, headaches, Parkinson’s disease and epilepsy, and occasionally lends his expertise as a visiting consultant with the Singapore General Hospital.
Outside of neurology, Dr Wee is a father of 3 kids and enjoys spending time with his family.
