Dr Wong graduated from the National University of Singapore with his MBBS degree in 2003. He obtained his MRCS in the UK and was accredited as a Hand Surgeon in Singapore in 2015. He received fellowships from the Singapore Society for Hand Surgery and American Society for Surgery of the Hand in 2014. He completed these at Hospital for Special Surgery working with Dr. Andrew Weiland and at Mount Sinai West with Dr. Steven Glickel.
Since 2011, Dr. Wong has worked at Tan Tock Seng Hospital, where he served as Chief of the Hand & Microsurgery Section from 2015-2016. He remains a visiting consultant and is involved in training junior surgeons and residents. His clinical interests include trauma, arthritis, nerve compression, replantations and reconstructive microsurgery. He specializes in minimally invasive hand and wrist surgeries.
During his tenure, Dr. Wong was an Adjunct Assistant Professor involved in undergraduate and postgraduate teaching. He directed residency programs and served as Fellowship Director for Hand & Reconstructive Microsurgery. His research includes publications in hand and reconstructive microsurgery and education.
