Bio

Dr. Ivan Ng served as Head of the Department of Neurosurgery at Tan Tock Seng Hospital and Singapore General Hospital from 2006 through 2012. During this period, he also co-directed the Brain and Behavior program at Duke-NUS Graduate Medical School from 2007 to 2013. Dr. Ng obtained his medical degree from the National University of Singapore in 1990. He completed his residency training at Addenbrooke's Hospital, Cambridge University, where he was chief resident from 1999 to 2000.

Prior appointments held by Dr. Ng include Chairman of the Chapter of Neurosurgeons for the College of Surgeons Singapore and Vice President of the Asian Congress of Neurosurgeons. Currently, he sits on several international committees for prominent neurological organizations. Dr. Ng also serves as an Associate Editor for CNS Oncology and as a member of the editorial board for the Asian Journal of Neurological Surgeons. Throughout his career, he has educated and trained numerous neurosurgeons who now hold faculty positions around the world. Additionally, Dr. Ng organizes several neurosurgical courses on an annual basis.
