Dr. Frances Lim is a board-certified general surgeon and colon and rectal surgeon. She received her MD from the University of Calgary and completed residencies in general surgery at SUNY Syracuse and a fellowship in colon and rectal surgery at Washington Hospital Center.
Dr. Lim has held prominent positions including Senior Consultant at the National Cancer Institute Singapore and National University Health System Singapore. She performed complex colorectal procedures and treated patients through endoscopy. As Program Director, she ensured quality training and a holistic, evidence-based approach for residents. An internationally recognized physician, Dr. Lim has spoken widely and published extensively. She was awarded an A*Star BEP Grant for a novel hemorrhoid device now FDA-approved.
Dr. Lim is now with Colorectal Clinic Associates, where she practices compassionate, patient-centered care. She respects patient preferences and utilizes evidence-based medicine. Skilled in various surgeries, her interests include Inflammatory Bowel Disease and Colorectal Cancer. She favors minimally invasive techniques when possible.
