Dr Lee specialises in advanced colorectal surgery, encompassing exenteration and extended resection for recurrent rectal cancer, minimally invasive colorectal surgery, and the treatment of bowel dysfunction and anorectal disorders.
His expertise extends to diagnostic and interventional endoscopy, including endoscopic mucosal resection (EMR), video-assisted anal fistula treatment (VAAFT), endoscopic pilonidal sinus treatment (EPSIT), endorectal ultrasound (ERUS) and colonic stenting.
Over the years, Dr Lee had also developed a special interest in geriatric surgery and is actively involved in the development of perioperative work for older patients.
Prior to joining private practice, he was the former Head of Colorectal Service and the clinical lead for the Geriatric Surgical Service at Khoo Teck Puat Hospital.
Alongside his clinical and research work, he served as an adjunct Senior Clinical Lecturer at both the National University of Singapore and the Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine.
As an accomplished academic, Dr Lee has published extensively in peer-reviewed journals, contributing valuable research to the fields of colorectal and geriatric surgery.
